Greg Allen

Greg heads the firm's Real Estate National Practice Group. He is an expert in property law and property development work.
Greg's experience includes acting on large infrastructure, energy, forestry, farm and commercial real estate transactions, land acquisitions, and providing property and due diligence advice on many significant corporate transactions.
He has extensive experience on commercial property acquisitions and large scale residential and commercial property development (including complex canal and integrated resort developments). Greg also has experience in hotel acquisitions and developments (including resort developments in Fiji), and commercial leasing.
Greg is also an expert on overseas investment, providing advice on property related investments by overseas persons, undertaking land investigations, and preparing applications for Overseas Investment Office approval.
Greg enjoys working alongside his clients helping them commence and complete their real estate projects.
Greg has previously sat on the Board at Simpson Grierson and is currently the Practice Group Leader of the Real Estate National Practice Group.
Greg is a member of UDINZ, PINZ, NZFI, the Property Council and the Overseas Investment Office Legal Reference Group.

Fletcher Residential
Lead advisor on Fletcher Residential’s land acquisitions and residential developments. Currently acting on the redevelopment of the Stonefields and Three Kings quarries into high density residential areas and the urban redevelopment of Waiata Shores (previously the Manukau golf course) as a new Auckland suburb and other large urban developments at Whenuapai, Hobsonville Point, Kowhai Ridge - Massey, Karaka, Drury and Flat Bush. Along with obtaining OIO standing consent (first in New Zealand) for its residential land acquisitions.
New Zealand Carbon Farming
Acting in relation to its New Zealand wide forestry leasing program, acquisition of existing forest land and farm land for new forest plantings (for its ETS program).
Vivid Living
Assisting Vivid Living with the establishment of 2 new retirement (lite) villages, including developing the template form of ORA for those developments.
Roxy Pacific
Acted on purchase of ANZ Bank towers, 205 Queen Street and of NZI Building, 1 Fanshawe Street, Auckland CBD.
Event Hospitality
Acting on the acquisition of the Museum Arts (QT) Hotel and of the management rights for Rydges in Wellington and on various other hotel management and leasing matters for its Event Hospitality, including its Event and Rialto cinema operations.
