Julia Learner

Julia leads the firm’s Litigation Projects Team comprised of litigation support professionals. She provides specialist support on litigation and dispute matters to deliver high quality and efficient client services across the firm.

Julia is passionate about creating efficiencies and process improvements across our litigation offerings, and has a particular focus on using legal tech and customised solutions to get the best outcomes for clients.  She loves to help clients and lawyers work better and smarter. 

Julia has significant experience in managing large scale discovery projects and using specialist technology to provide end-to-end support for all litigation matters. She works closely with our Business Transformation and Innovation team to find and implement solutions tailored to the needs of each case.

Julia joined Simpson Grierson in 2015 as a senior solicitor in our Financial Services Litigation team, and began her role as Litigation Projects Lawyer in January 2021.

 Dual qualified in New Zealand and England and Wales, Julia has over 10 years’ experience as a litigator and has appeared in the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. She has also spent time on secondment in an in-house legal team, giving her valuable insights into how clients operate.
