Samantha Knott

Samantha is a commercial litigator, specialising in Financial Services Litigation. She has recently returned from London, where she regularly acted on complex, cross-border disputes.  

Samantha’s matters involve insolvency, debt recovery, contractual disputes, directors’ duties, shareholder disputes, fraud, and regulatory enforcement. She regularly advises major banks, company officers and insolvency practitioners, both in New Zealand and overseas. Samantha is also an experienced general commercial civil litigator and has acted on a range of files, providing short advice pieces through to acting in some of the largest and most complex proceedings in the English High Court. 

Samantha is focused on providing excellent client service. She ensures that she understands the commercial drivers and broader context behind a client’s decision-making. This enables her to take a holistic approach to advice, combining the legal aspects with broader considerations.
