The Fast-track Approvals Bill represents a sea change in the consenting of major projects.

It creates a 'one-stop shop' for consents and other regulatory approvals for projects, with selection of a project into the regime by Parliament (through inclusion in a Schedule to the Bill) or by Ministerial referral.
