We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Catherine Shipton as a new senior associate in our corporate team.

Catherine spent the last six years at top UK law firm Allen & Overy in London and returns home to Christchurch with a young family and a wealth of international experience.

In London, Catherine worked on a significant number of high-value matters, including complex M&A transactions in the global energy and infrastructure markets.

Her fresh thinking and extensive portfolio of work adds to the strength and depth of talent across our corporate team. Our 70-strong corporate practice has advised on many of the landmark transactions in New Zealand's corporate history and we are consistently ranked as a New Zealand leader in the MergerMarket and Refinitiv league tables.

Working from Christchurch/Ōtautahi with our Auckland/Tāmaki Makaurau-based team, Catherine is a shining example of our commitment to flexible working.
